Thunderbolt (also known as Master Bolt) is the Olympian god of thunder Zeus’ hallmark weapon and symbol of might. Both Terra so in the Heavens, it is supposed to be among the most powerful and feared weaponry. To vanquish the Titans, the Cyclopes and Hecatoncheires in Tartaros crafted it for him, together with Poseidon’s Trident and Hades’ Helm of Darkness.
Creation of Zeus thunderbolt
When Zeus was at battle with Cronus and the Titans during the Titanomachy, he unleashed his brothers, Hades and Poseidon, as well as the Cyclops and Hecatoncheires. In exchange, the Cyclopes bestowed upon Zeus the thunderbolt, a lightning weapon endowed with the ability to control the skies. The thunderbolt had become a famous Zeus symbol, and it still is today. Zeus, and still only Zeus, wields the thunderbolt (unlike the Trident which is used not only by Poseidon, Amphitrite and Triton).
Later use of zeus thunderbolt
As Typhon & Zeus were fighting, Zeus fires a lightning bolt towards Typhon, knocking him to the ground. Zeus regained his strength immediately and hurled one hundred Lightning Bolts at Typhon, killing him. After that, he flung his body in Tartatus.
