Ckay’s global mega song, ‘Love Nwantiti,’ climbed up four places to No. 35 on the Billboard 200 on October 18, 2021. It was ranked No. 35 just a week ago.

The Warner South Africa act recorded his first Billboard Hot 100 record on September 27, 2021.

The song debuted at No. 23 on the Official UK Top 40 on September 21, 2021, and reached No. 4 a week later.

That’s something you might recall…

Ckay’s ‘Love Nwantiti,’ a Nigerian singer-songwriter and music producer, became the No. 1 song on Shazam’s global charts on September 11, 2021. The chart keeps track of the most popular songs around the world and ranks them.

The song debuted above global mega singles from prominent artists such as Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber’s ‘Stay,’ which is presently the Billboard Hot 100’s No. 1 song.

Axel and DJ Yo appear in the version of ‘Love Nwantiti’ that reached the top of the charts.

The song, which was first published on Ckay’s sophomore EP, Ckay The First, in 2019, went viral after a visual version featuring Joeboy and Kuami Eugene was released. Ckay has remixed the song for mileage on various occasions after then. Winnie Harlow has been dancing to the tune on her Instagram stories since then.

Since then, the artist has released another EP, left Chocolate City, and signed with South Africa’s Warner Music Group.

This follows Wizkid’s ‘Essence’ becoming the most-shazamed song in the US in Q4 2020, and Master KG’s ‘Jerusalema’ becoming the most-shazamed song in the world.

After Wizkid’s ‘Essence,’ it becomes the second Nigerian song to rank on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2021.
